Writing and Editing

I've been writing stories since I was about eight years old. My path in life has been set ever since. I attended Converse College specifically to obtain a degree in Creative and Professional Writing and have been working as an editor for the last few years. I have written dozens of human interest and business articles as well as marketing materials for both trade book and magazine publishers. In my spare time, I work on my fantasy novel, Choices of the Immortal, which I aim to publish.

Art and Design

Those same stories that I wrote as a child always called for character designs and illustrations. I began taking art lessons at age ten and did so until I graduated college with a Studio Art minor. Since then, I've designed ebook covers, social media ads, posters, informational booklets, sales sheets, magazines, and more as a designer in both professional and freelance capacities. In my spare time, I draw cover and interior illustrations for my novel, Choices of the Immortal.

Language and Culture

The various regions, cultures, and mythologies of the world are the inspiration for my personal works of art and writing. Foreign languages are another passion of mine. I have minors in German and Chinese, being fluent in the former (CEFRL Level B2) and retaining a basic command of the latter (HSK Level III). I lived in Nuremberg, Germany for a year as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant and used the opportunity to travel across Europe. I aspire to learn more languages and to continue to explore the world to see all it has to offer.
